A trip to Thailand can be a fun adventure for everyone in the family. The area is packed full of history, architecture, and activities. While in Thailand, be sure to spend a few days getting to know Bangkok.

Bangkok is the capital of Thailand with a population of seven million people! Bangkok is considered a wealthy city and is ranked #22 in most populated areas in the world. More than fifteen million travelers a year visit Bangkok. It has a tropical climate and is quite humid most of the year.

The city itself can be overwhelming to the new Thailand traveler. It's a very busy crowded city with lots to do and lots to see. The area can feel like a labyrinth maze, but taxis are cheap and the taxi drivers know how to get around.

For you night owls there are plenty of pubs and bars to have a good late night time in. There are some scary areas, but pick the safe touristy bars and you should be okay. Bangkok has inexpensive hotels for those on a budget, again some very nice ones and some in the wrong parts of town.

For those who are addicted to shopping there is the Chatuchak Weekend Market packed full of great treasures to buy. There are hundreds upon hundreds of stalls or booths packed full of clothing. Buy jeans, shoes, t-shirts, dresses, and more. Students sell their one of a kind items too.

The history buffs can rest assure that Bangkok offers plenty for them to see. The temples are magnificent and the views are one of a kind. Be sure to plan a day exploring Democracy Monument, the Grand Palace, Wat Saket and the Golden Mount. Some areas require quite the climb, but you will enjoy a fantastic view for your efforts.

Bangkok is a city unlike any other. Take a week or two on your next trip to travel to explore this important city and leave with one of a kind memories. Thailand is the perfect destination for couples, families, singles, and even broke college students wanting to see the world.
